Milattan \u00d6nce 3. y\u00fczy\u0131llara kadar tarihlendirilen bug\u00fcne kadar iyi korunan tarihi kal\u0131nt\u0131lar\u0131n yer ald\u0131\u011f\u0131 antik kentin Helenistik d\u00f6nemde Olba Kral\u0131\u011f\u0131\u2019n\u0131n ibadet yeri oldu\u011fu biliniyor. Milattan Sonra 72 y\u0131l\u0131nda, Roma \u0130mparatoru Vespesianus zaman\u0131nda ise Olba\u2019dan ayr\u0131larak Diokaisareia ad\u0131yla \u00f6zerk ve kendi ad\u0131na para basan bir kent durumuna geldi\u011fi bilinen daha sonradan Uzuncabur\u00e7 ismini alan antik kentte en \u00e7ok s\u00fctunlu cadde, Zeus tap\u0131na\u011f\u0131 ile t\u00f6ren kap\u0131s\u0131 gezenlerin ilgisini \u00e7ekiyor. Nekropol alanlar\u0131ndaki kaya mezarlar ile tiyatro da bar\u0131nd\u0131ran antik kent bug\u00fcnlerde yo\u011fun olarak ziyaret\u00e7ilerini a\u011f\u0131rl\u0131yor. Silifke il\u00e7esine 30 kilometre uzakl\u0131kta olan y\u00fcksek rak\u0131mda oldu\u011fu i\u00e7in de s\u0131cak ve nemden ka\u00e7anlar\u0131n u\u011frak yeri haline gelen antik kenti gezenler memnun ayr\u0131l\u0131rken, g\u00f6rmek isteyen herkesi de davet ediyor.<br \/>\nAntik kenti gezenlerden Mehmet Karan, &#8220;Bizim b\u00f6lgemiz her taraf\u0131yla b\u00f6yle antik kal\u0131nt\u0131lar, antik eserlerle dolu. Buraya da hep gelmeyi istiyorduk.
